We\'re seeking a talented Manager for our Distribution Center in Richmond who can assist in executing excellence of logistics core functions to support our Distribution Centers and Corporate Objectives. As our Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager of Distribution Centers and work alongside Managers from Montreal to ensure we operate as one entity. If you\'re a problem solver who can execute independently, possess a keen sense of ownership, and have the required skills, we want you on our team! What you\'ll be doing:
Manage full-cycle people performance management, presenteeism and absenteeism management, and problem resolution.
Define yearly objectives for Distribution Centre Associates and manage performances through one-on-one-meetings and Workday/ADP while developing Distribution Centre Associates using the Logistics Career Development program (LCD).
Lead the Distribution Centre operations (Inbound & Outbound) and team by setting clear and specific objectives, tracking operations and team performance, maintaining related KPIs (productivity-quality), and providing timely and constructive feedback that promotes growth.
Be the Continuous Improvement champion by using and implementing the CI approach, optimizing efforts with technology, automation, and physical infrastructure.
Participate in development of yearly business plan and manage a budget and forecast monthly.
What we look for (Job Qualifications):
Minimum of 3 years\' experience in a Managerial role in a Distribution Centre (Overall management of people; processes & procedures, tools & equipment)
People management skills (managing at least 8 people) and team-building skills
Operations experience working with metrics e.g.: Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP or equivalent software (warehouse management system)
Managing budget planning and maintenance (maintain basic related finances grids)
Post-Secondary education (Logistics, SCM or equivalent) a plus
