The role:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution. This role ensures efficient and effective warehouse processes, maintains high standards of safety and quality, and manages a team of warehouse staff. The Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the warehouse operates smoothly, meets productivity targets, and supports the overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize productivity and accuracy. Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Inventory Management

Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stock-outs. Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy. Implement inventory control measures to prevent loss, damage, and discrepancies.

Team Leadership and Development

Supervise and manage a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for team members.

Safety and Compliance

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.

Warehouse Layout and Organization

Design and maintain an efficient warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and workflow. Ensure proper labeling and organization of inventory for easy identification and access. Implement best practices for material handling and storage.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track warehouse performance and productivity. Generate regular reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and performance metrics. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.

Technology and Systems Management

Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to streamline operations. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into WMS and other relevant systems. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance warehouse operations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.

Hands-on experience with:

Dangerous goods classification, packaging, labeling Documentation (shipping declarations, MSDS/SDS) Regulatory audits or inspections Emergency response protocols

Transportation Certifications

TDG Certification (Transportation of Dangerous Goods - Canada) IATA DGR Certificate (for air transport) IMDG Code Training (for sea freight)

Additional Safety Certifications

WHMIS 2015 (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System - Canada) Spill Response Training Emergency Response Planning

Skills and Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Work Environment

This position works in a daily basis, in a warehouse environment. Require occasional lifting of materials and products. Involve operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsable d'entrepot

Le Responsable d'entrepot est responsable de superviser et de gerer l'ensemble des operations de l'entrepot, y compris la reception, le stockage, la gestion des inventaires et la distribution. Ce role assure l'efficacite des processus logistiques, le respect des normes de qualite et de securite, et la gestion d'une equipe de personnel d'entrepot. Le Superviseur joue un role cle dans le bon fonctionnement de l'entrepot, l'atteinte des objectifs de productivite et l'appui aux objectifs globaux de l'entreprise.

Responsabilites principales :

Gestion des operations d'entrepot

Superviser les operations quotidiennes : reception, entreposage, preparation de commandes, expedition. Developper et mettre en place des procedures efficaces pour optimiser la productivite et la precision. Assurer un traitement rapide et exact des expeditions entrantes et sortantes.

Gestion des inventaires

Surveiller les niveaux de stock afin de minimiser les ruptures et les surplus. Realiser des audits reguliers et des inventaires tournants pour garantir l'exactitude. Mettre en oeuvre des controles pour eviter les pertes, bris et ecarts.

Leadership et developpement d'equipe

Encadrer le personnel de l'entrepot : embauche, formation, evaluation. Favoriser un environnement de travail positif et collaboratif. Offrir un encadrement et des opportunites de developpement continu.

Sante, securite et conformite

Veiller au respect des normes de sante et securite et des politiques de l'entreprise. Appliquer et faire respecter les protocoles de securite. Realiser des inspections et des formations regulieres.

Amenagement et organisation de l'entrepot

Concevoir et maintenir un amenagement efficace pour maximiser l'espace et les flux de travail. Assurer un etiquetage clair et une organisation logique des stocks. Mettre en place les meilleures pratiques de manutention.

Suivi de la performance

Developper et suivre les indicateurs cles de performance (KPI) de l'entrepot. Generer des rapports reguliers sur les operations, les niveaux d'inventaire et la performance. Identifier les points a ameliorer et mettre en place des mesures correctives.

Systemes et technologies

Utiliser les systemes de gestion d'entrepot (WMS) et autres outils technologiques. Assurer une saisie de donnees precise et rapide. Rester a jour sur les tendances technologiques pour ameliorer les operations.

Qualifications :

Formation et experience

Baccalaureat en logistique, gestion de la chaine d'approvisionnement, administration ou domaine connexe. Minimum de 5 ans d'experience en gestion d'entrepot ou poste equivalent. Experience avec les systemes WMS et logiciels de gestion d'inventaire.

Experience pratique en matiere de :

Classification, emballage et etiquetage des marchandises dangereuses Documentation (declarations d'expedition, fiches de donnees de securite) Audits ou inspections reglementaires Protocoles d'intervention d'urgence

Certifications en transport

Certification TMD (Transport de marchandises dangereuses - Canada) Certificat IATA DGR (pour le transport aerien) Formation au Code IMDG (pour le fret maritime)

Certifications de securite supplementaires

SIMDUT 2015 (Systeme d'information sur les matieres dangereuses utilisees au travail - Canada) Formation en intervention en cas de deversement Planification des interventions d'urgence
