The role:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution. This role ensures efficient and effective warehouse processes, maintains high standards of safety and quality, and manages a team of warehouse staff. The Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the warehouse operates smoothly, meets productivity targets, and supports the overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize productivity and accuracy.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Inventory Management
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stock-outs.
Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Implement inventory control measures to prevent loss, damage, and discrepancies.
Team Leadership and Development
Supervise and manage a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for team members.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
Warehouse Layout and Organization
Design and maintain an efficient warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and workflow.
Ensure proper labeling and organization of inventory for easy identification and access.
Implement best practices for material handling and storage.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track warehouse performance and productivity.
Generate regular reports on warehouse operations, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Technology and Systems Management
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to streamline operations.
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into WMS and other relevant systems.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance warehouse operations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
TDG Certification (Transportation of Dangerous Goods - Canada)
IATA DGR Certificate (for air transport)
IMDG Code Training (for sea freight)
Additional Safety Certifications

Suivi de la performance
Developper et suivre les indicateurs cles de performance (KPI) de l'entrepot.
Generer des rapports reguliers sur les operations, les niveaux d'inventaire et la performance.
Identifier les points a ameliorer et mettre en place des mesures correctives.
Systemes et technologies
Utiliser les systemes de gestion d'entrepot (WMS) et autres outils technologiques.
Assurer une saisie de donnees precise et rapide.

Qualifications :
Formation et experience
Baccalaureat en logistique, gestion de la chaine d'approvisionnement, administration ou domaine connexe.
Minimum de 5 ans d'experience en gestion d'entrepot ou poste equivalent.
Experience avec les systemes WMS et logiciels de gestion d'inventaire.
Experience pratique en matiere de :
Classification, emballage et etiquetage des marchandises dangereuses
Documentation (declarations d'expedition, fiches de donnees de securite)
Audits ou inspections reglementaires
Protocoles d'intervention d'urgence
