FBI has 6 kitchens and 1 distribution center, which are strategically located across Canada and within geographic proximity to the US market. POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations of a distribution center, serving all of Freshstone Brands\xe2\x80\x99 customers and suppliers. They will setup and manage systems that implement safe, efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and shipping of goods, and execute outstanding and predictable service both to customers and suppliers.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for inventory, lot code, and location accuracy across materials and finished goods, as well as continuous improvement of warehouse operations. The candidate is a strong planner and communicator, someone who is hands on, and who develops strong relationships within their team and with peers in the management team.

Above all, they are motivated by doing the right thing, both for the customer, employees, and the company. Their goal will be to ensure a safe environment and increase operational efficiency.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Reports to Director, Distribution & Warehouse

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Maintain standards of health and safety, food safety and security in the work environment.
  • Plan and manage warehouse operations according to the company\'s strategic objectives.
  • Co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, put-away, pick, and shipment of goods.
  • Ensure data and inventory accuracy in Freshstone Brands\xe2\x80\x99 ERP system, and WMS.
  • Guide, develop, and motivate warehouse staff
  • Manage warehouse layout, bin locations, and zones to ensure compliance.
  • Oversee the maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
  • Co-ordinate and enforce operational policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate performance metrics to ensure quality delivery and cost-efficient work-flow processes.
KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Applied knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Minimum 3 years\' relevant experience in warehouse and logistics management.
  • Strong people and planning skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of general business computer software, and aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Degree or diploma in a supply chain or related is an asset.
  • A valid Forklift Truck License is an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Office set up, freezers, cold rooms and warehouse.
  • Be available to work any day of the week to meet production requirements as needed.
  • Answer internal enquiries after work as required.
  • Fast paced environment with moving equipment
