We're looking for a Lead Hand - Warehouse to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy in inventory, and providing hands-on leadership to our staff.

Position Summary

The Lead Hand - Warehouse oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient workflow. This role includes coordinating workloads, supporting team members, maintaining accuracy in shipping and inventory, and promoting safety and productivity standards.

What You'll Do

Daily Operations Oversight (35%)

Plan and coordinate daily warehouse activities including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and put-away Assign and prioritize tasks based on workload Support the team during peak periods to ensure deadlines are met

Inventory Management (25%)

Oversee inventory movement and organization Conduct or assist with cycle counts and audits Maintain proper labeling and storage systems

Leadership & Team Development (20%)

Train and coach warehouse staff Foster a positive, safe, and accountable team environment Provide feedback to management on performance and workflow

Safety & Compliance (10%)

Enforce safe work practices and PPE use Conduct safety checks and report any incidents Participate in safety meetings and contribute to improvements

Customer & Interdepartmental Support (10%)

Coordinate with drivers, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure timely, accurate deliveries Assist with walk-in customer pickups as needed

What We're Looking For

Required:

3+ years of warehouse experience in a distribution environment Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience with picking, packing, receiving, and shipping Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate standard warehouse equipment Proficiency with inventory management systems Must have a valid G license with a clean Driver's abstract

Preferred:

Forklift certification Experience in janitorial, sanitation, or chemical supply distribution Knowledge of WHMIS, SDS, and chemical handling protocols

Work Environment

Physical warehouse environment (standing, walking, lifting) Exposure to cleaning chemicals and industrial products PPE provided and required for certain tasks
Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional overtime

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
