The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and performing a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, shipment and delivery of product. Assists the Warehouse Manager by ensuring the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
May lead a team of 1+ employees, training, scheduling workload and delegating tasks to achieve goals
Lead and participate in all activities related to the efficient processing of inbound and outbound freight, and maintaining daily operations and timely order processing, including:
Accurately picks products for orders by matching product numbers and quantities with pick tickets
Accurately performs product repackaging of orders daily
Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers' count and immediately reports discrepancies to supervisor
Package picked orders to ensure shipping without damage to product; may include palletizing, wrapping and labeling
Create/manage BOL's, pack slips or other necessary documents for outbound shipments as needed
Helps load and unload product properly on DGI vehicles
Responsible for, as needed, delivering product to the customers' specifications/agreed
arrangement in a safe and courteous manner treating the customer with the utmost respect as a representative of the company
Provides back up support with supplying local vending customers their inventory and replenishing vending machines as needed
Ensures DGI vehicle is clean and tidy by end of business day
Maintains company vehicle in compliance with Fleet Vehicle Policy
Establish and maintain relationships with Operations, Purchasing and Accounting, integrated supply and various other Corporate Departments
Perform basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, clear aisles of debris
Respond to customer or vendor questions to resolve potential issues regarding distribution services
Observe all safety policies and procedures; including the dress code and wears Steel Toed Shoes at all times
Take accountability for goals and drive toward accomplishing them
In specific DGI Supply locations where the Warehouse Lead works independently, the Warehouse Lead is responsible for general building maintenance including:
Ensuring the building and grounds are in working order, proactively reporting issues to manager and escalating when needed, getting quotes for repairs and seeing through to completion; on occasion provides hands on support for landscaping
Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
3+ years' warehouse operations (shipping/receiving) experience; supervisory experience preferred
Must have a valid driver's license with the ability to deliver product to customer sites
Excellent communication and partnership skills with ability to communicate well across all organization levels
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong leadership ability to take initiative and solve problems
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution metrics and standards
Solid math skills
Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team-oriented environment with an emphasis on total customer satisfaction
Technically proficient with MS Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ERP systems; basic data entry
Passionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork oriented
Strong sense of urgency and accountability
Must have the ability to lift various products weighing up to 50 pounds
Able to bend, pull, lift and stand throughout the duration of scheduled shift
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting, standing, lifting, bending, pulling and walking throughout the duration of scheduled shift
Must be able to lift 50 pounds to occasionally 75 pounds
