The Warehouse Lead contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing direct leadership to warehouse workers at the Branch Office. The Warehouse Lead performs various operations, including unloading, picking, packing, counting, and checking items to maintain inventory. This position serves as the most experienced/skilled warehouse associate and is usually tasked as a section team leader and is responsible for the daily activity of either the receiving, checker, assembler, freezer, cooler, or shipping section. Performs work under minimal supervision.



Essential Job Functions:



Fills in for Warehouse Supervisor as necessary, Ensures the warehouse operation meets targeted completion times on each route to facilitate the reduction of over-time Ensures all warehouse workers have the necessary tools to complete each assembly safely and accurately. Observes and coaches warehouse associates on the company expectation and report any inefficiency to supervisors and managers. Assists supervisors and managers in the motivation, coaching, and teaching of assemblers in safety, services, procedures, and equipment. Hand selects orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures (dry, cooler, and freezer) Manually lifts and moves product to stock, assemble, and repack ensuring accuracy and proper rotation. Packages finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling). Stages finished product for loading. Responsible for quality control. Ensures that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored. Performs preventive maintenance on forklifts, and palette jacks Handles inventory movement into and out of controlled locations Prepares customers' orders for delivery Provides fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

High school diploma and/or equivalent experience. Reading, writing and speaking in English and/or French is required. Certification and experience in operating Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Warehouse Lead will spend time in the warehouse's refrigerated (Cooler and Freezer) section. Machinery operation requires using safety equipment including but not limited to steel-toed boots.

Must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis for any employer.
