As the

Warehouse Lead hand

, Wire and Distribution, you will set the pace for the day and successfully lead the team in achieving set KPI's while ensuring all processes are followed.


What you'll be doing :




Assist and conduct daily shift meetings. Supervision of warehouse associates, making sure that the Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions are being fallowed and the Key Performance Indicators are achieved Proactively bring to the attention of management any operational issues as they develop and assist in finding resolution. Liaise with internal departments such as Inside sales, Sales, Transportation, Shipping and Receiving and Inventory to investigate and resolve operational and customer issues Conduct pre-start safety inspections and follow all workplace safety procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times. Interface with other branches located in BC for rush and special requests Prioritize workload and work in a safe and effective manner Responsible for accurate receipt and put away of all wire products inbound on a daily basis Operate and adjust machinery to cut and spool wire and cable according to precise measurements and customer requirements. Work with Manager to prioritize all orders, and other work duties Ensure the quality of all assigned tasks, through a double check, spot check or quality assurance processes Resolve or escalate any issues that affect productivity or flow Create and maintain open lines of communication with the Warehouse Manager by keeping them informed at all times. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives Other duties as assigned

What you bring to the table :




Demonstrated strong leadership with excellent interpersonal skills must be a resourceful self-starter Team player skills with demonstrated abilities to interact well with all levels of associates Physically capable of lifting up to

50 lbs

safely and regularly. Counterbalance and reach truck experience & certification is an asset You have good communication skills and like the idea of leading and coaching a team Cable cutting experience Intermediate computer skills Ability to work in a face paced environment
