We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated

Warehouse Lead

to join our Operations Team in Calgary.

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and compliance with food safety standards. This role provides leadership to warehouse associates, coordinates workflow, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maintain efficiency and quality in a fast-paced environment.

The Role:



The Warehouse Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of food products. This role acts as a key point of contact between warehouse staff and management, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting timely order fulfillment. The Warehouse Lead provides guidance to team members, monitors workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervise and guide warehouse staff in receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP in all warehouse activities. Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts and audits. Coordinate daily workload and prioritize tasks to meet operational deadlines. Operate and oversee safe use of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse in accordance with sanitation standards. Assist in training new team members and enforcing company policies. Communicate effectively with logistics, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations. Identify process improvements and support implementation of best practices.

Qualifications:



Education: High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain is an asset. Experience: 3+ years in warehouse operations, preferably in food distribution. Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control, and warehouse management systems. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in MS Office and WMS software.

Schedule:



Onsite from 8 AM-5 PM; subject to change per business operational needs. 4 days in the week and 1 day in the weekend. Exposure to cold storage and warehouse environments. Shift work, including evenings and weekends, may be required. Must adhere to PPE and safety protocols.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
