POSITION SUMMARY


Looking to make a difference through teamwork? Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) is seeking a Warehouse Laborer to join our team. The successful candidate will join our collaborative team and work closely with colleagues to ensure efficient shipping & receiving of materials. You will handle loading and unloading parts and hardware for the equipment maintenance department, pulling orders and stocking supplies.

As a Warehouse Laborer you will work closely with the Warehouse officer and report to the Fleet Manager. Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Red Chris Warehouse officer or designate, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assist shipping and receiving with loading / unloading trucks and checking in merchandise. Checking out merchandise while keeping accurate recording in a warehousing database. Carry out regular inventory counts as requested. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following policies and procedures. Checking stock for damage and wear, reporting faults, and marking and labelling stock. Physically moving products and materials using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Store, count, weigh, and open materials received. Attend toolbox, safety and other meetings or discussions as required, participate in any other specified training. Adhere to relevant company procedures and policies. Other duties as required.

Qualifications

A minimum of 1-years warehousing experience considered an asset. Experience in mining operations is considered an asset. Experience operating skid-steer, and relevant heavy equipment preferred. Valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) and WHMIS certificates seen as an advantage. Strong attention to detail and experience with computers (MS applications), particularly database management. Time management, decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to take direction, follow instructions, adapt to changing priorities and multi-task. Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong oral and written communication skills. A team player who works respectfully and cooperatively with others.

Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing

Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, especially local Tahltan workers, by sharing technical skills, safety practices, and industry knowledge in a respectful and culturally aware manner. Uphold Tahltan values and principles by fostering a work environment built on respect, teamwork, and mutual learning. Support the growth of the Tahltan workforce by helping build capacity, promoting safe and effective work practices, and ensuring that knowledge is passed on to strengthen both the team and the broader Tahltan community for the benefit of current and future generation.


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pass mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and fitness for work assessment where required. Valid Class 5 driver's license required. Ability to safely climb and access equipment, as well as lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. * Ability to stay alert and pay attention to detail during duration of shift and extreme weather conditions.
