POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Warehouse Coordinator, the
Warehouse clerk
will be the right hand of the coordinator and will perform all tasks associated with picking finished products from shipping, distributing orders from stock to production and QC, placing on shelf products from production and processing inventory adjustment in computer system and working with the warehouse coordinator in order to help with the necessary documentation for shipping and/or receiving in order to meet deadlines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Shipping/receiving
Execute shipping transactions in the system
Prepare shipping documentation as per specific requirements for customers and carriers
Prints shipping documents, as per specific requirements for customers/carriers (Ex. packing slips, shipping labels, commercial invoices, etc.)
Send invoices to customers via e-mail
Receives merchandise at the loading docks.
Receive merchandise into the company system.
Communicate and follow up on any receiving problems.
Pack goods and complete shipping documents according to specifications.
Pick and Pack outgoing orders ensuring goods are securely packaged, labeled properly and properly documented.
Ensure safe work practices and environment in the shipping/receiving areas
Maintain a neat and tidy warehouse
Assist in physical warehouse duties
Assist the Warehouse coordinator in all various tasks, as assigned
Coordinate outbound shipments.
Deliver merchandise to internal customers.
Write receiving and shipping reports
Perform incoming inspection on shipments/materials received
Receive and physically store materials
Finished Goods
Put away Finished Goods products in stock, supplied from manufacturing
Pick products for packing and shipping as per customer order pick list
Verifies quantities, addresses, shipping modes and other important details of all customer orders and job orders
Completes proper paperwork - Tracking and transfer to sales, closing of customer orders and job orders, entering quantities from RMA's
Maintains accuracy by performing cycle counts of products to verify computer quantities and accuracy.
Advises stock shortages
Assigns locations for Finished Goods products and makes appropriate changes in the computer.
Uses FIFO procedure (First in-First out) for product movement
Other
Maintains clean and orderly work area
May be required to help in production from time to time
Any other duty as assigned by the Warehouse Coordinator
INITIATIVE REQUIRED:
Must be able to work with speed, accuracy and under pressure and have a good memory. Must also be meticulous, responsible, have good work ethics and a positive attitude.

Internal:
Production Team Leaders: daily workload.
Production planners: daily workload.
Receiving department: incoming shipments to be put in stock.
Production Supervisor: expedites.
Shipping department: cancellation of orders.
Customer Service: Daily pick list, changes and corrections to orders
Accounting: authorization to ship (P.A.P.).
External:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge/skills:
Basic knowledge of inventory systems in manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO procedures.
Language:
French
/English. English being required to be able to communicate with other divisions and/or departments)

Education/Experience:
High School Certificate.
1 to 2 years' experience in a similar role in a manufacturing company
Be able to operate or be willing to learn how to drive a reach truck for narrow aisle as this will be required occasionally (i.e. might be once a week only)
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Plant working conditions. Overtime may be occasionally required. Must comply with all safety regulations and procedures on all equipment and in regard to the working environment in general.
