The Warehouse Driver works together with the rest of the Warehouse Team to coordinate and facilitate picking up and redistribution of supplies for all The Mustard Seed locations in Edmonton, as well as connecting with donors and representing The Mustard Seed within their community contacts.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver/Pick- up supplies for the Shelters, Housing, Thrift Store, and Community Impact Centres when their requests come in
• Corporate donation pickups
• Occasional food pickups from various locations
• Food transfers from Seed locations for the Kitchen departments
• Work with Facilities regarding regular repair and maintenance of the truck
• Ability to professionally represent the Seed from a PR perspective to community and business partners
• Abide by all Health and Safety protocols and procedures (ex. incident reports, near misses), and mandatory training courses
• Others duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Good driving record and experience
• Basic understanding of computers and Microsoft Office programs
• Strong communication skills
• Physically fit and able to handle regular loading and unloading of truck for deliveries
• Strong team player
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Valid class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and a clean Drivers Abstract

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to continuously lift up to 50 lbs
• Driving required
• Navigating interactions with challenging clients who may exhibit unpredictable behavior, including swearing, anger, and the possibility of becoming aggressive
• Working environment will include indoor and outdoor activities
• Fast-paced environment
• This position requires moderate amount of mental effort to analyze information and problem solve
• The working environment for this position requires moderate amounts of walking, climbing, standing, sitting, lifting, carrying, and daily interactions with colleagues, community participants and donors

• Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

This position requires the use of a company vehicle, and/or personal vehicle for company use. The candidate must have a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence, maintain $2M Vehicle Liability Insurance on the personal vehicle being used, and will need to consent to a driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract request.
