Robert Half is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant Manager to join our client in New Hamburg, ON. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse distribution operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team. As the Warehouse Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supervising warehouse staff, overseeing daily activities, and ensuring the efficient and timely fulfillment of orders. This position is a full-time PERMANENT position.Key Responsibilities:-Supervision and Leadership: Assist in supervising warehouse staff to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Provide guidance, training, and support to warehouse personnel to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.-Daily Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping merchandise. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely order fulfillment.-AS400 Software Management: Utilize AS400 software for inventory management, order processing, and data analysis. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, stock movements, and order status.-Order Fulfillment: Manage order fulfillment processes to meet customer demands and deadlines. Monitor order queues, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely delivery of products.-Tow Motor Operation: Possess a valid Tow Motor license and demonstrate proficiency in operating Tow Motors and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 60lbs as needed.-Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain the integrity of products throughout the handling and shipping process. Conduct regular inspections of inventory and facilities to identify and resolve any issues promptly.-Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels to optimize storage space and minimize stock shortages or excess. Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate with purchasing and procurement teams as needed.-Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel. Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety training sessions, and investigate any accidents or incidents.-Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision.-Proficiency in warehouse distribution operations, including knowledge of best practices and industry standards.-Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and empower team members.-Experience with AS400 or similar inventory management software preferred.-Valid Tow Motor license and ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.-Ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 60lbs.-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.-Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.Robert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
