Position Summary

The Port Hope Medical Walk-in Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our walk-in clinic team on a part-time, casual basis. The NP will provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care services to individuals with acute and episodic health concerns.

Key Responsibilities

Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with acute or episodic health issues.

Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate referrals as needed.

Deliver patient-centered care that is culturally safe and responsive.

Collaborate with clinic staff, physicians, and other health care professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation.

Qualifications

Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Nurse Practitioner (Primary Health Care).

Demonstrated experience in primary care, urgent care, or walk-in clinic settings (preferred).

Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Commitment to patient-centred, compassionate care.
