Our client a highly successful medical clinic business with their head office based in central GTA has an immediate opening for a Director of Finance. In this role, you will oversee financial accounting and planning, cash flow management, and the development of policies to drive organizational success. You will collaborate with leadership to maximize revenue, maintain cost efficiency, and ensure the financial health of the company. This is an opportunity to apply your strategic thinking, leadership, and technical expertise to guide the organization towards sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals.
  • Oversee financial planning processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management, to ensure financial stability.
  • Monitor and analyze the organization's financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports and dashboards for executive leadership and quarterly board meetings.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish department budgets and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Design and maintain financial policies and procedures to promote operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Manage key performance indicators, recommending strategies to optimize financial performance and achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline processes, enhance cost efficiency, and support long-term business growth.
  • Provide financial assumptions and analysis to support the onboarding of new employees and business models.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members to foster attention to detail and ensure high-quality performance.
Requirements:
  • CPA designation
  • Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, coming from the medical clinic or hospital sector is a strong asset.
  • Strong expertise in financial accounting and planning, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems, CRM tools, and financial reporting platforms.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach.
  • Expertise in budgeting processes, corporate finance, and financial risk management.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on promoting process improvement and quality management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to stakeholders.
