Job Title: Interim Director of Finance
Location: Hybrid / Onsite as required

Overview:
A community-based non-profit organization is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Finance to lead its financial operations during a temporary leave. This role will oversee finance, payroll, procurement, and risk management functions, ensuring continued accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial leadership.
Working Conditions:

• Part-time, temporary role with flexible hours.
• Hybrid work model with potential onsite presence as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial reporting and analysis to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial monitoring processes.
• Supervise and support the Finance Coordinator in day-to-day operations.
• Oversee payroll, procurement, and rent subsidy programs to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, legislation, and funder requirements.
• Manage audits, internal controls, and risk management processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial sustainability.
• Offer strategic financial insights to support executive decision-making.

Requirements:

• CPA designation (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience; non-profit or social services sector preferred.
• Proven leadership experience at a senior or director level.
• Strong knowledge of not-for-profit financial management and compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
