Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary is a loving home to 150+ abandoned, abused and neglected farm animals, located east of Ottawa, ON.
We are seeking a creative Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies to enhance our online presence, engage with our audience, and promote the sanctuary to raise awareness and increase donations. This role requires a knowledge of social media platforms and project management capabilities to drive successful social media campaigns. You can make your own schedule and work from anywhere.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute innovative social media strategies across various platforms to increase sanctuary awareness and engagement.
Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) that aligns with the farm's mission.
Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and engagement opportunities; respond promptly to audience inquiries.
Analyze data collection metrics to assess the performance of social media campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
Supervise any interns or junior staff involved in social media activities, providing guidance and support as needed.
Requirements
Experience or willingness to learn social media platforms for a brand or organization.
Familiarity with data collection tools and analytics to track performance metrics.
Experience in recruiting or engaging influencers can be beneficial.
Knowledge of market trends related to social media marketing is preferred.
A proactive attitude towards learning new tools and techniques in digital marketing.
