Part-Time Vocal Teacher (Classical or Popular Singing Focus)

Pomelo Music is seeking a passionate and experienced Vocal Teacher to join our music learning center on a part-time basis. You will work with students of all ages and skill levels, helping them develop strong vocal techniques, musical expression, and performance skills in

classical or popular music genres.

Lessons may be one-on-one or in small groups.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and small group lessons in classical or popular singing, helping students build healthy, versatile, and expressive voices. Design lesson plans tailored to each student's strengths, areas for improvement, and musical interests.

Prepare students for recitals, competitions, auditions, and other performances, offering guidance on vocal technique, interpretation, phrasing, stage presence, and musical expression.

Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching methods to help each student reach their full potential.

Create a nurturing, motivating, and inspiring environment that encourages students to build confidence and explore their unique musical voice.

Keep up-to-date with current vocal techniques, repertoire, and performance practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Music, Vocal Performance, or a related field preferred.

Proven experience teaching or performing in classical or popular singing styles, with a track record of student success.

Deep understanding of vocal technique, breath control, tone production, and stylistic interpretation in your chosen genre.

Ability to play an instrument is an asset, preferably guitar or piano, to support teaching and accompaniment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Patient, encouraging, and able to create a positive, engaging learning environment.

Availability to teach evenings and weekends.
