Arcadia Academy of Music is seeking a passionate and dedicated
Vocal Instructor
to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
vocal performance and music education
, and a genuine enthusiasm for inspiring students of all ages. This role involves delivering high-quality vocal instruction, fostering confidence and creativity, and helping students achieve their musical goals through Arcadia's structured curriculum and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
Teach private
vocal lessons
to students of varying ages and skill levels.
Develop personalized lesson plans following
Arcadia's vocal curriculum
while adapting to individual learning styles and goals.
Instruct students on
proper vocal techniques
, breathing, tone production, diction, and performance skills.
Prepare students for
recitals, examinations, and public performances.
Encourage musical expression, confidence, and stage presence in all students.
Communicate regularly with parents and the administrative team regarding progress and attendance.
Maintain a
professional, positive, and inclusive
teaching environment.
Participate in school events such as
concerts, recitals, and workshops
when required.
Qualifications & Skills
Background in
vocal performance, music education, or a related field
(degree, diploma, or equivalent experience).
Strong understanding of
vocal pedagogy and technique
across various styles (classical, pop, contemporary, etc.).
Experience teaching children and adults
in private or group settings.
Knowledge of the
Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM)
curriculum is an asset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate students and foster a lifelong love of music.
Reliable, punctual, and professional in conduct and appearance.
