This is a seasonal, hourly position (up to 40 hours per week) with flexible hours, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Creating the future vision for one of Winnipeg's most prized treasures, Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) located at 55 Pavilion Crescent in Winnipeg is the not-for-profit organization that oversees Assiniboine Park's operations and ensures its ongoing redevelopment and financial viability. Our team is inspired to create and deliver extraordinary experiences for the people who visit and use the Park and Zoo including building friendly, supportive, effective relationships with stakeholders, community and the general public.


The Opportunity





APC is seeking enthusiastic Visitor Services Representatives who will work within our various customer-service outlets in the park, including the Zoo, Pavilion, and the spectacular landmark of The Leaf. Visitor Services Representatives will ensure extraordinary member and visitor experiences by directly selling APC's offerings and services to our visitors in person and by telephone. Visitor Services Representatives will work diligently to provide warm, friendly, and attentive service.


Required Qualifications and Experience




1 year experience in a customer service position is preferred. Candidates must have excellent proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office software. Proven ability to communicate effectively in person, through email, and by telephone. Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at once. Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to resolve customer issues or complaints in a fast-paced environment. Highly effective sales and interpersonal skills in order to quickly build rapport and provide extraordinary experiences to Zoo and Park visitors. Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred. Ability to speak additional languages would be considered an asset. Candidates must be physically capable of safely performing the duties of the position which includes standing for long periods of time, working in all types of weather, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
