As a Vision Therapist/Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with children and adults, helping them overcome vision problems that interfere with reading, learning and vision. This will be done through one on one visual therapy.

Experience or education in early childhood education is a plus, but not required. You must be willing to take part in 1 year training alongside the Optometrist. A training course will be offered to you conditionally.

You will be in one of the most interesting and rewarding specialties in eye care. You will be helping both children and adults with visual development and visual rehabilitation. We are looking for someone who is mature, reliable, has the ability to learn new things, does not mind to work independently and multi-task. For you to love this job, you must love kids and be able to engage them in activities with full cooperation. We want someone who is inspired to make this their career. Once you are trained as a Vision Therapist/Assistant, it will open the door to being trained as a Lead Vision Therapist. The patient care hours will start part-time and lead into full time once you are fully trained. Your schedule will be approximately 20-30 hours/week. Once you are trained the position will be expanded to more hours as your patient load increases.

Qualifications: Energetic, easy and outgoing, quick learner, easy adaptor and good at improvising, self-directed, well-organized and has good communication skills.
