Toronto Vision Therapy has been proudly serving the Toronto community for nearly 20 years. We are a full-service Optometry clinic with special interests in Neuro-Visual training (Vision Therapy) helping people with learning difficulties, concussion rehabilitation, and corneal abnormalities.

Our team's focus is providing a safe environment for our patients and allow everyone to feel they are in a home away from home. We want to ensure everyone that is part of our clinic; team, doctors, patients, and family members have a positive transformational experience.

We are currently looking for someone to take on the role of a Visual Trainer/Vision Therapist. Under the guidance of our Neuro-Visual Optometrist, you will work directly with children and adults who are struggling with learning difficulties/disabilities and concussion rehabilitation as a result of visual difficulties. QUALIFICATIONS:

A post-secondary education in the study of Early Childhood Education, or Optometric Assistant is preferred Previous experience working with children/families is an asset Candidate must be able to take initiative, have strong leadership skills, and work well with a team Creativity and the ability to improvise as well as think outside the box is needed in order to cater treatment plans to suit each patient's individual needs Effective interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral Ability to work independently Outgoing and Social
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

FULL Training will be provided

Construct and implement weekly treatment plans suited for each patient and be able to make appropriate adjustments when needed under the supervision of the Optometrist Be able to accurately and efficiently record notes based on observations of the patient's performance during each session Manage time effectively in order to ensure you are prepared for each session, notes are completed, room is tidy and organized or assist in other areas of the office when needed Communicate effectively with team members and the Optometrist on the progress of the patient or any treatment updates/outcomes
