Duties

Basic Function of the Position: This standard job description is for a Visa Renewal Adjudicator who adjudicates B1, B2, B1/B2, BBBCC, BBBCV, and other categories of visa cases that are eligible for waiver of an in-person visa interview through the Interview Waiver (IW) process. The position is in the Consular Section and under the direct supervision of the Consular Chief, Visa Unit Chief, or Deputy Visa Unit Chief. The incumbent must be able to secure and maintain a Secret level security clearance.


Qualifications and Evaluations



Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a professional office setting in governmental, public administration, or immigration service fields is required.

Education Requirements:
At least two years of college or university level study is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Fluent written/spoken English including ability to translate is required. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated skills in MS Office Suite and general computer skills including information and database management. Organizational skills, including task management skills; communication skills including writing skills appropriate for drafting official adjudication records and notes.

Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.
