Visa Direct is a global real-time money movement platform that facilitates domestic and cross-border consumer and business funded use-cases such as person-to-person transfer, person to micro-business transfer, e.g. payouts to shared economy providers, funds disbursement, e.g. insurance claim disbursements and earned wage access, and more. The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 Trillion dollars of payment volume globally - replacing cash, cheques, and slow bank transfers with real-time money movement.

As the Senior Director, Head of Visa Direct Product Canada, you are responsible for managing and driving Visa Direct growth with Visa\'s top Canadian Financial Institutions, Fintech partners, Enablers and Merchants. You and your team will lead the development and execution of the growth strategies for Visa Direct with your extended Visa teammates. Team leadership, organizational savviness, interpersonal and negotiation skills are critical as the role will interface with multiple areas within the assigned clients\' organization as well as within Visa partnered sales, marketing, pricing, legal, risk, and more. You\'ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, high intellectual curiosity to learn new concepts and business models with the ability to lead a team to adapt and thrive in the fast-paced environment.

The position will be based in Toronto, Canada and will report to the Vice President and Head Commercial and Money Movement Solution, Visa Canada.

Key Accountabilities

Lead a team that has responsibility over the product lifecycle for Visa\'s money movement platform, Visa Direct, for the Canada Market

Establish & Execute Canadian Growth strategy for Visa Direct and ensure alignment with North America and Global strategy.

Manage the Visa Direct P&L, product pricing, client incentives and deals.

Optimize the Visa Direct product platform and ensure the health of the Canadian ecosystem to money movement solution that meets market and client needs for launch and growth.

Work with the broader Visa organization to identify technology, products, and services that can be leveraged to provide creative solutioning and accelerate client implementation.

Work with multiple cross functional teams such as Legal, Compliance and AML to review market landscape in preparation for new use cases and drive appropriate system and/or rule changes as required.

Collaborate with sales to achieve established sales target, provide consultative support to prospective clients, and build customized client facing collateral.

Establish new partnerships to drive Visa\'s network of networks strategy.

Collaborate with Corporate Communication and Marketing to identify and execute on PR and marketing opportunities.

Lead, coach and develop your team to excel with a growth-mindset by modeling excellent client relationship skills and demonstrating the Visa Principles.

Lead detailed solution design and consultation with clients to delivery fast and seamless implementations to accelerate launches with high quality.

Prepare and deliver Visa Direct product strategy, updates and trends for Canada, NA & Global Leadership teams as well as for Clients and Advisors.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\'s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
-15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor\'s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
-Possess knowledge of the payments environment, including trends in payments modernization, and market developments. Experience with payments technology, open banking, and money movement is an asset.
-Ability to understand how real-life use cases can be realized through payments rails and technology.
-Experience working collaboratively with business teams in product development and execution, product management, strategic planning, and project management
-Ability to develop, understand, synthesize, and communicate technical complexities to non-technical peers and clients, both senior and junior, in a simple and clear manner.
-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with colleagues across functional areas, with senior management and clients
-Very strong organizational and project management skills, diligent at effectively documenting and tracking key steps and executing against them, and a high degree of comfort and effectiveness reporting to executives succinctly and clearly on an ongoing basis.
-Advanced oral and written communication skills with the ability to strongly influence
-The ability to translate analytics, research, client needs into actionable plans and deliverables.
-Experience working effectively with global teams and local teams.
-Good understanding of client and Visa P&Ls.
