The selected candidate will perform the duties of a production specialist, contributing creativity to programming by innovating to produce distinctive visual effects within the scope and time constraints of the show. The role requires strong photography skills, significant content contribution, and bilingualism (English-French).Work is generally carried out according to CBC/Radio-Canada or industry-accepted standards, but there is some flexibility for independent judgment, decision-making, and initiative within established procedures. Tasks are performed under the direction of the program manager or other employees, but the candidate must be able to work without immediate supervision.Work is usually carried out within the established formats of the program, often under high-pressure conditions.Main activities:Participate in all stages of planning, production, and styling for programs.Edit news programs and reports.Create and add new visual elements.Create, edit, and mix new audio components.Regularly enhance images, texts, and fonts by selecting and applying visual effects from software or hardware tools.Prepare, adjust, and set up field cameras to ensure optimal visual and technical quality under given circumstances.Light the subject or scene, compose shots, and record broadcast material using shoulder-mounted cameras.
