The Vice President of Development, Qlik Platform Role
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Development to lead the strategy, design, development, and operation of the Qlik Platform which supports our Analytics and Data Business Units with identities & authentication, content management, content discovery, licensing, access control, administration, telemetry and platform AI services. Supporting more than $300M in ARR with 99.5% reliability, you will drive our Platform as a Product initiative as Qlik scales capabilities, usage, workloads and revenue. This leader will drive innovation, scalability, reusability and efficiency across our engineering organization xe2x80x93 enabling our Business Units to accelerate software delivery, improve developer experience and achieve new levels of productivity resiliency and scale.
Herexe2x80x99s how youxe2x80x99ll be making an impact:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision and roadmap for Qlik platform, aligning with company goals and engineering needs.
• Platform Development: Oversee the architecture and delivery of platform services and capabilities, building the foundation for Qlikxe2x80x99s future.
• Team Management: Build and lead high-performing platform engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of platform services. Establish clear SLAs and KPIs.
• Developer Experience: Evangelize resilient engineering practices within Platform and across Business Units to reduce friction, improve productivity and in the development lifecycle.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Qlikxe2x80x99s Business Units, product management, security, IT, and other stakeholders to support platform adoption and integration.
• Cost and Risk Management: Optimize cloud and infrastructure costs, and ensure security, compliance, and governance of platform components.

Wexe2x80x99re looking for a teammate with:

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on platform engineering or DevOps.
• Proven experience building scalable internal platforms in a modern cloud-native environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Strong understanding of developer workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse technical teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Bachelorxe2x80x99s or Masterxe2x80x99s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech company or startup environment, an asset.
• Familiarity with modern programming languages and microservice architectures, an asset.
• Experience with platform observability, service mesh, and internal developer portals, an asset.
• Experience with high reliability systems at global cloud scale, an asset.
