Job Description

The Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and executing the company's end-to-end supply chain strategy supporting both OE manufacturing programs and the aftermarket distribution network. This executive leader oversees procurement (direct and indirect materials), production planning, and inventory management to ensure supply reliability, cost competitiveness, and operational efficiency. The VP drives excellence in supplier performance, customer delivery, and material flow to optimize working capital, support on-time production, and meet the evolving needs of OE customers and aftermarket partners.

Oversee all sourcing and procurement activities for direct materials, components, tooling, packaging, and indirect spend. Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies that ensure competitive cost structures, supplier quality, and long-term supply assurance. Manage relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, delivery, and IATF/ISO standards. Negotiate supplier contracts and agreements to support OE and aftermarket business objectives. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to align procurement decisions with product launch timelines, cost targets, and profitability goals. Drive localization, dual-sourcing, and cost-reduction initiatives to improve competitiveness and supply chain resilience. Ensure adherence to corporate, ethical, and environmental procurement standards Lead the production planning function to balance customer demand, production capacity, and material availability for both OE and aftermarket channels. Monitor and report key production metrics including capacity utilization, on-time delivery, and schedule adherence. Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure optimal resource allocation, efficient changeovers, and minimal production downtime. Enhance planning accuracy through demand forecasting, ERP optimization, and data-driven decision-making. Partner with Sales and Customer Service to maintain alignment between demand plans, manufacturing schedules, and customer delivery expectations. Develop and execute inventory strategies that support customer fulfillment while optimizing working capital. Oversee warehouse and distribution operations to ensure inventory accuracy, flow efficiency, and timely replenishment. Lead initiatives to reduce obsolete, excess, or slow-moving inventory and drive continuous improvement in material handling and logistics. Implement KPIs to monitor inventory turns, material availability, and distribution efficiency across OE and aftermarket networks. Provide strategic direction to a cross-functional team encompassing procurement, planning, materials management, and logistics. Establish and monitor performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company objectives. Build and develop a high-performing, agile team through mentoring, coaching, and succession planning. Foster strong collaboration between corporate, manufacturing, and distribution sites. Partner with executive leadership to align supply chain strategies with corporate growth, customer satisfaction, and sustainability goals.

Areas of strength and expertise that matter most for this role:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field required. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement and supply chain management within the automotive manufacturing and distribution sector. Proven experience managing both direct and indirect spend categories and working with Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers. Strong understanding of ERP systems, production planning, and inventory optimization for OE and aftermarket operations. Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, cost reduction, and supply chain performance improvement. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strategic thinker with hands-on operational experience and a continuous improvement mindset. Bilingual - French and English required. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (domestic and international).
