Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated RVT to join our team of skilled professionals at Middle Sackville Veterinary Care Centre, a well-established, privately owned and respected veterinary clinic. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a compassionate team and play a vital role in providing the highest standard of care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with exams and diagnostic procedures Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed Perform lab tests, including blood work and urinalysis Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures Provide client education and ensure clear communication regarding treatment plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records Help with inventory management and ordering of supplies Foster a compassionate environment for both patients and clients
Qualifications:
Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Nova Scotia Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary clinic setting (ideal) Strong knowledge of veterinary medical procedures, pharmacology, and anesthesia Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills A compassionate, out going, team-oriented attitude
