We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for both clients and their furry companions.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the database.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently.
Assist veterinarians and technicians with laboratory tasks as needed, including sample collection and preparation.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Provide clients with information on pet health care products and services offered by the clinic.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in veterinary technology or related field is a plus.
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and their pets.
Proficient in using office equipment and software; familiarity with veterinary practice management software is advantageous.
Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Experience or knowledge in laboratory procedures is highly desirable but not mandatory.
