Heartland Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and caring Veterinary Technician to join our excellent team in Airdrie, AB. We are a small animal clinic that prides ourselves on providing the highest standard of care and a compassionate approach to pet health. Full clinic renovation to be completed in 2024 providing a fantastic new work space. Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapies for animals.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests to help diagnose animal health problems.
• Take digital X-rays.
• Educate pet owners on animal care and welfare, disease prevention, and medication administration.
• Maintain medical records and prepare surgical equipment.

Qualifications:

• Diploma from an accredited Veterinary Technician program.
• Registered or eligible to register as a Veterinary Technician in Alberta.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and patient animal handling skills.
• Experience with veterinary software is an asset.
