Heartland Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and caring Veterinary Technician to join our excellent team in Airdrie, AB. We are a small animal clinic that prides ourselves on providing the highest standard of care and a compassionate approach to pet health. Full clinic renovation to be completed in 2024 providing a fantastic new work space. Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapies for animals.
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests to help diagnose animal health problems.
- Take digital X-rays.
- Educate pet owners on animal care and welfare, disease prevention, and medication administration.
- Maintain medical records and prepare surgical equipment.
- Diploma from an accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- Registered or eligible to register as a Veterinary Technician in Alberta.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient animal handling skills.
- Experience with veterinary software is an asset.
