Amazing new opportunity to enter the Veterinary world!



We are hiring for a hybrid position that combines the best of both a Veterinary Technical Assistant (VTA)/Veterinary Medical Receptionist (VMR). Come join our progressive mixed animal practice in Regina, Saskatchewan! This is a full-time, permanent position offering a 5-day work week of 40 hours. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday but flexibility to work according to clinic needs is required.

The Sherwood clinic is located on the outskirts of Regina, which offers all the conveniences of urban living with an incredibly welcoming, community feel. The Ideal Candidate

Our VTA/VMR must possess strong organizational skills, excellent telephone and in-person communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The daily duties comprise of the following, but they are not limited to these duties: greeting clients; differentiating routine cases from emergency cases; scheduling appointments; entering client, patient, and financial data into the computer; generating invoices and explaining them to clients; processing payments; managing the retrieval and storage of medical records; provide exceptional patient care, maintain biosecurity within the hospital, clean and maintain instruments and equipment and complete inventory tasks as needed; animal handling and husbandry; setting up for medical procedures and surgeries; and supporting veterinarians and veterinary technologists with daily treatments and care of patients.###

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum QualificationsAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a fast pace environment; Excitement, desire and passion to learn and take ownership of assigned duties; The ability to lift 35+ pounds without assistance; Completion of a high-school diploma; Experience owning or working with animals an asset; Preference given to those with previous office or industry experience.
