Vet for Life Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, reliable, and compassionate

Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant

to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals and people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing excellent client service and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Reception & Client Care

Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally Schedule appointments, manage phone calls, emails, and reminders Process payments, invoices, estimates, and insurance forms Maintain accurate client and patient records Communicate clearly with clients regarding appointments, procedures, and follow-up care

Veterinary Assistant Support

Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient handling and restraint Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized work environment Assist with basic treatments, sample collection, and diagnostics as trained Monitor patients and provide comfort and care during visits Restock supplies and assist with inventory management

Administrative Duties

Use practice management software efficiently Handle medical records, referrals, and prescription requests Follow clinic policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous veterinary clinic or medical reception experience preferred. Holds strong knowledge of veterinary terminologies. Animal handling experience is an asset

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to

multitask

and stay calm in a busy environment Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Comfortable using computers and clinic software
