The Animal Clinic in downtown Toronto is looking for a collaborative Practice Manager to join our team (https://www.theanimalclinic.ca/).We are a private practice, located in a busy Toronto neighbourhood, looking for a progressive individual who will lead our team and oversee our day-to-day operations. We are looking for someone who's reliable, conscientious, innovative and a compassionate team player.The Practice Manager will work in cooperation with Dr. Richardson (Practice Owner), Joori (Administrative Assistant) and Eric (Inventory Manager) to provide leadership and support for the entire team.Why work for the Animal Clinic?

What you will do:

• Mentor, develop, and lead our team members to excel in their roles.
• Balance the needs of the team with the goals of the business.
• Maintain the level of patient care and customer service that our community has grown to appreciate since 1974.
• Identify areas of opportunity to increase efficiency and implement improvements.
• Ensure team members complete their daily tasks and are fulfilling their responsibilities.
• Recruit, interview and train new team members with an emphasis on accountability, integrity, teamwork and appreciation.
• Develop and set plans to achieve financial benchmarks.
• Ensure fee schedules are correct and competitive, and make adjustments as required.
• Continue to foster a sense of family within our team.
• Support our initiatives to be an eco-friendly vet hospital!

As our ideal candidate, you have:

• 3+ years of experience managing employees in a supervisory role with a strong preference for those who have experience in veterinary management.
• 2+ years of experience in an HR capacity.
• Experience with compliance and safety policies.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
