Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinary team. This vital role involves managing client interactions, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate attitude, and experience in a veterinary or medical setting. Laboratory experience is a plus, helping to support our clinic's diagnostic processes and ensure smooth operations. Duties

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and departure Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments efficiently using our practice management software Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about services Manage client records with attention to detail and confidentiality Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for clients and patients Handle billing, payments, and insurance processing accurately Support laboratory procedures by preparing samples and maintaining lab equipment when necessary Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a welcoming environment for clients Collaborate with veterinary staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations

Experience

Prior experience in a veterinary or medical reception role is preferred Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners Ability to work well as part of a team while maintaining professionalism under pressure
This role is essential in delivering exceptional client service while supporting the overall health and well-being of our animal patients.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 27 per week
