We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate
Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist
to join our team. This role combines front-desk client service with hands-on support in the clinic, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both people and animals.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client records
Process payments and handle invoicing
Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures
Prepare exam rooms and equipment; maintain cleanliness and sanitation
Safely and compassionately restrain animals during exams and procedures
Clean and sterilize instruments and work areas
Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed
Monitor animals during recovery following surgery or procedures
Administer medications under supervision
Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed
Communicate clearly with clients regarding appointments, treatments, and follow-ups
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in a veterinary clinic preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comfort handling animals of various sizes and temperaments
Computer and scheduling software skills
Work Environment:
A combination of clinical (back office) and administrative (front desk) settings
Regular exposure to animals, cleaning agents, and potentially infectious materials
Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends as needed

Experience:
Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
Veterinary Assistant: 2 years (required)
Veterinary Receptionist: 2 years (required)
