Job Description

Animal Hospital of Bowmanville is seeking a confident, passionate, detail oriented Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our growing practice. The ideal person works well in a team environment as well as individually.

Avimark experience a MUST

. We are offering a permanent Full-Time position that requires availability to work mostly afternoons, Monday to Friday (12/1pm-6pm) and two Saturdays a month (10am-3pm). Average 25-30hrs weekly.

Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to:

Restraint of Cats and Dogs

Daily upkeep and cleaning of the clinic

Answering phone calls and client questions

Use of Avimark to book appointments, invoicing, make estimates etc.

Assisting clients/answering client questions

Handling lab samples (Blood, Urine and Fecal Samples) and prepping them for Idexx labs

Helping in the day to day aspects of the veterinary clinic

Qualifications:

Experience in a Veterinary Clinic

Required



Proficient computer skills; Using Excel, Microsoft and Avimark (or similar veterinary program)
