This mature practice was established in 1989 in Casselman, Ontario. The Casselman Veterinary Clinic is looking for a full-time Small Animal Veterinarian to serve its loyal clientele for over 45 years in the Eastern Ontario region.
The practice is located just off the 417, approximately 30 minutes from Ottawa in a custom building of 2,300 square feet, with 20+ free parking spots. On the main floor, there is a large reception area, two examination rooms, a surgery and dental room, a digital x-ray room, a full in-house laboratory, an office, and more. In the basement, there is an office space for animal groomer, a large staff area and lots of room for storage.
Profitability for the practice is above average and good revenue growth every year.
The practice is owned by one Veterinarian who's looking for an independent partner to eventually retire.
We are open weekdays until 5 pm or 6 pm. There is flexibility in the schedule.
There is no on call duty as we refer them to the 24 hours emergency clinics in Ottawa.
We offer 3 weeks of paid vacation per year.
Salary is negotiated based on experience. Salary and hourly employment are an option.
The clinic has a well-educated and loyal established client base and we strive to provide excellent and compassionate care.

Salary: Starting at $100,000.00 / year (To be negotiated based on experience). Hourly wage option also available

Job requirements:
Languages: Bilingual (French & English)
Education: Degree in veterinary medicine
Experience is an asset
Ability to supervise: 2 to 3 people
Credential: valid College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) licence

Specific Skills:
Diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests, Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery, Vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases, Advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene and general care of animals, Perform routine, emergency and post-mortem examinations, Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia.
