Callander Animal Wellness Centre - North Bay, Ontario - Veterinary Position - Full Time/Part TimeOur small animal hospital is expanding and opening a new Rehab and Wellness Centre. The new facility boasts 2 exam rooms, an OASIS underwater treadmill, therapeutic laser, a massage/treatment room and a large fenced outdoor run. We have 2 RVTs who have rehab qualifications, and 7 other vet techs who are ready to help out! The new Wellness Centre facility is full of natural light and is nestled on a beautiful wooded 14 acres (in other words, "bring your dog to work and walk our trails on your breaks!").What we don't have enough of is veterinarians (only 2 full time vets, 1 full time virtual vet, 1 part time virtual vet and 1 locum vet at the moment)! The part-time or full time position is very flexible and would aim to provide you with true work satisfaction without sacrificing your mental or physical health (Want to do more surgery? No surgery? Lots of dentistries? Only wellness appointments? "You Bet!")The Wellness Centre is affiliated with Callander Animal Hospital, an independently owned small animal clinic with a stellar reputation in the area for providing medicine with heart. The hospital offers ultrasound (new in 2022), digital radiography, full dental suite with fibre-optic dental cart, a surgery suite with lots of natural light, in-house biochemistry/CBC/urinalysis and digital cytology, 3 exam rooms, therapeutic laser, and an outdoor dog park.Enjoy the area's downhill skiing options, scenic cross-country skiing, gorgeous sand beaches, play Ultimate Frisbee in the North Bay league (on our team!), canoe, sail, hike, enjoy live theatre, be a regular at Trivia Pub Night, rollerblade North Bay's trail system, and explore the various cuisines our restaurants provide. • DVM in good standing from AAHA accredited program
• will need to write the Ontario jurisprudence exam to practice in Ontario
• 2 - 3 years experience in small animal medicine/surgery an asset, but new grads considered
