Versatile operator - Maintenance oriented

Job summary

The Servitek FOUSSIER team is looking for a new Versatile operator. Under the supervision of our Site Manager, you will work in the production, logistics and quality departments of the company. You will be based in our warehouse in Alexandria, Ontario.

Permanent Contract. Full-time.

Key responsibilities

Ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the premises, which includes:

Remove snow and ice from walkways and entrances

Apply salt/sand to walkways as needed for safety

Clear debris from roof drainage areas

Sand and prepare walls, pipes, and other surfaces for painting

Perform light painting tasks (walls, doors, pipes, etc.)

Wash walls, floors, and other surfaces using power washers or other equipment

Maintain cleanliness of facility areas to ensure they are debris-free

Assist with light repairs, minor carpentry, patching, or touch-ups

Report major maintenance needs or safety hazards to management

Helping the other Versatile operators in the warehouse, which includes:

Assist with shipping and receiving of goods

Verify incoming shipments, check packing slips, and ensure proper documentation

Unload and load trucks safely and efficiently

Pick, pack, and label orders for outbound shipments

Organize and restock materials within the warehouse

Operate pallet jacks or other basic material-handling equipment (training provided if needed)

Support warehouse team in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Required Skills

Forklift operator training, an asset

Forklift license, an asset

Must be able to lift 55 lbs

Know how to use electric tools

Punctuality

Precision

Team player

Work in a safe manner

Versatile and rigorous in performing tasks

Benefits

Salary of $18 per hour

Profit sharing plan

2 days paid during holiday season (December 26 and January 2)

Sick leave taken or paid at the end of the year

Group insurance after 6 months of continuous service

3-month probationary period

40 hours per week, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday
