Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Valve Technician for our growing service business in Fort McMurray and Western Canada. The successful candidate will be based out of our Fort McMurray Automation Centre, and report to the Manager, Valve Service. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to receive further training and advancement opportunities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Service, assemble and test relief valves
- Service, assemble and test Isolation valves and instrumentation
- Interface with internal and external customers
- Field service work is required in plant or in on-site service unit
- Support our OEM business with onsite repairs
- Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements
- Participate in a 7/24 rotation
Qualifications and Skills
- Mechanically knowledgeable
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Journeyperson or Technologist Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior relief valve and testing experience
- Experience with Hydrotesting Valves considered an asset
- 960 logged hours of in-house relief valve training, as per ABSA, would be an asset
- SAP experience considered an asset
- Solid keyboarding and computer skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Team player
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
- Valid Alberta driver\'s license and willingness to travel
