Tundra Process Solutions currently has an opening for a Valve Technician based out of our Grande Prairie Branch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

• Cleaning, repairs, and inspections of PSV's
• On-site and over the phone/email troubleshooting for clients
• Pressure Testing of PSV's
• Forklift Operations
• Inspection of internal parts including measurement and documentation of critical dimensions
• Documenting information for valves within a computerize system
• Assembling valves in accordance with manufacturers specifications
• Testing and ensuring valves are compliant to code and manufacturers specifications
• Sealing, painting, and tagging valves in accordance with code
• Quality Control to ensure all the paperwork and tags are correct and verified

Requirements

• 2+ years of PSV/PRV repair experience is preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with clients via phone or email
• Able to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Machining experience is an asset
• Valid Forklift Operations Ticket is an asset
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Accuracy with attention to detail are strong attributes for the role
• Ability to work beyond the normal scope of work, including overtime & weekends
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical specifications for the assembly, tear-down, and repair of equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean Drivers Abstract is preferred
