You have a passion for technology and understand the importance user experience plays in adoption. About the job

The Experience Design (XD) team is a cross-functional group including Visual Design, Content Strategy, Motion Design and more, that works closely together to create amazing stories and experiences for the brands that we serve. As a User Experience (UX) Lead, you'll work closely with many other aspects of our XD team as well as our Technology partners.

You're the kind of person that loves to get clients excited about human-centered design, help them plan and understand our purpose, and collaborate with their and our teams to design and deliver Experience transformations. You want to grow and mentor amazing people in Information Architecture, Design Thinking, Usability, Wireframes & Prototypes, and collaboration. You love to experiment and explore new ways of working with our clients and within Avanade. When you end your day, you know that you've made a Genuine Human Impact.

Your days will be a mix of research and design, that include:

  • Research, user testing, in-depth interviews, focus groups, ethnographic field studies and surveys
  • Brainstorm working sessions with multi-disciplinary teams to inform vision and design strategy
  • Requirements capturing
  • Team with multi-functional technology and design groups to integrate solutions and requirements into UX strategies
  • Use a proven change-management framework to support adoption of a new product or service
  • Contribute to business development through client relationships and request-for-proposal submissions
About You

You'll likely have five or more years of relevant UX experience and a Bachelor's degree in a field such as interaction design, human factors, computer interaction, behavioral psychology, or human/computer interaction, although we're open to a similar degree or experience.

Your experience ideally includes:
  • Using Lean UX, Design Sprints, or other agile ways of working
  • Monitoring and reporting on UX trends
  • Facilitating workshops and using a range of methodologies for user research, interpreting the results accurately. LUMA Certification is a plus.
  • Phenomenal interpersonal skills for collaborating, mentoring, and.
  • Experience working in a client consulting capacity
