About Our Client
Our client, located in the Oakville area, is a public accounting firm looking for a US Tax Manager to join their team! This permanent opportunity will be in office 2 days a week. Reporting to the Experienced Tax Manager tasks will follow:
Responsibilities

  • Manage the tax planning engagements and projects for multiple different engagements
  • Prepare and review US corporate and tax filings
  • Research tax issues and present conclusions to the shareholders or partners
  • Work closely with Partners to provide innovative tax planning ideas to a variety of clients
  • Serve as a trusted tax advisor
  • Lead and mentor junior staff
  • Other ad-hoc duties are required
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of U.S tax experience including tax planning, tax compliance, corporate and personal returns in the public accounting(medium size firmed preferred) space
  • Pursuing CPA(US or Canada)
  • Strong knowledge in US personal and corporate domestic tax
  • Experience using either CaseWare, Caseview, or TaxPrep
  • Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple deadlines and engagements
