We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic goals. This role involves working with students of various ages, providing personalized instruction, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

Teaching experience in international chess is preferred Reach the coach level certified by the Canadian Chess Association (CCA), or hold an equivalent internationally recognized chess level Organized or participating in international chess competitions is a plus Proficient in English Experience one-on-one tutoring Experience with Group Classes is a plus Be energetic, understanding, reliable and joyful
Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals. Teach international chess across various levels, ensuring clarity and comprehension among students. Provide class reports timely after each session. Conduct assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary. Utilize classroom management techniques to create a productive and inclusive learning environment. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues for learning progress and development area
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $18.69-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week
