Uranium Geologist
Job Description
RESPEC is an employee-owned professional consulting company that delivers integrated solutions to our clients\xe2\x80\x99 challenges. We are looking for two Uranium Core Logging Geologists to join us in our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office. Work would be on a contract basis and would involve 2-week rotations on site. The drill program would begin mid May and run through December 2023 in the Athabasca Basin.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Geology, strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Independently managing drill crews and drilling data
- Geotechnical and geological logging of uranium exploration drill core
- Taking core photos
- Coordinating between drilling team and site and office project management
- Working with drill foreman to confirm and communicate survey results to track deviation
- Confirm and compile pressure test results
- Managing hole completion
- Maintain OHS standards for drill sites
