Overview:
Under the direction of the Sports Store Supervisor, it provides excellent service and sales to all prospective customers in a friendly and timely manner in a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities:
Performs Skate sharpening and possible repairs
Provides Retail Sales & Customer Service, in a professional and welcoming manner.
Ensures Store and skate shop cleanliness and sanitizing
Performs Opening and closing store procedures
Performs Simple equipment repairs & maintenance within the Sport Store, as required.
Monitors all stock and all inventory
Cleans the shelves and replenishes stock when needed.
Receives Product and Stock
Reports to the Sports Store Supervisor all relative information, including but not limited to shift changes, problems, and trends in sales by way of customer requests or problems.
As a member of the facility team, receives and supports the direction for the facility as given by the Sports Store Supervisor and / or Management.
To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers, guests and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience in operating a skate sharpener as asset
Possess retail merchandising, sales experience and cash handling experience.
Experience working in an Arena
Excellent customer service skills.
Possess hockey Equipment knowledge.
Computer skills
The ability to communicate effectively with management, staff and customers
Blademaster Training Certification
Must be flexible for shift work, with hours being primary weekday evenings and on weekends.
