Part-Time Tutor - Math, Science & English (Grades 1-12)

Location: 100 Commuter Dr, Brampton, ON L7A 0G2 (Hybrid: In-person & Remote)
Pay: CA$18.00-CA$20.00 per hour
Type: Part-time | 6-Month Contract

About the Opportunity

Atlas Learning Zone is seeking a

knowledgeable and enthusiastic tutor

to work with students from

elementary through high school

in the areas of

Mathematics, Science, and English

. The successful candidate will help students strengthen academic foundations, improve grades, and build confidence through personalized instruction in a flexible, hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

individual or small group lessons

tailored to each student's learning goals. Support students with

coursework, tests, and exam preparation

. Use creative and interactive methods to make lessons engaging and effective. Assess student understanding and adapt instruction to meet individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student development and achievements. Maintain attendance logs and lesson notes for progress tracking.

Qualifications

Minimum

1 year of tutoring or classroom teaching experience

(preferred). Strong understanding of

Ontario curriculum

for Math, Science, and English (Grades 1-12). Excellent communication, patience, and organizational skills. Ability to simplify challenging topics and motivate students. Comfortable with

online teaching tools

(e.g., Google Meet, Zoom, or similar platforms). Prior experience working with children or youth in an academic setting is an asset.

Part-time, 6-month term contract

Schedule:

Monday-Friday; occasional weekends as required

Compensation:

CA$18.00-CA$20.00 per hour

Commute/Relocation:

Candidates must be able to commute to the location.
