Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate

Math/Science/English Instructor

to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background across core subjects and a proven ability to inspire students through engaging, effective instruction. This role involves teaching lessons aligned with the

BC curriculum

, providing individualized support, and adapting methods to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those requiring special education support.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in

Mathematics, Science, and English

that align with curriculum standards. Teach a range of concepts, from foundational skills to advanced topics, in each subject area. Incorporate technology and innovative methods to enhance the learning experience and build student confidence. Provide

individualized tutoring and enrichment

for students who require additional support or wish to excel further. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters participation, curiosity, and a love for learning. Assess student progress through regular evaluations and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure academic success. Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to strengthen overall student outcomes. Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents about progress and next steps.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, English, or a related field; BC teaching certification preferred. Experience teaching or tutoring students in

Math, Science, and English

(required). Strong knowledge of the

BC curriculum

and instructional strategies for multiple grade levels. Familiarity with special education practices and strategies to support diverse learning needs (preferred). Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools for classroom and online teaching. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate with families. A passion for inspiring students and helping them achieve their full potential across multiple subject areas.
