We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and have experience in automotive repair, including knowledge of various types of vehicles and equipment. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Duties

Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, ensuring they meet safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to complete repairs and installations. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and components. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs and recommendations clearly to clients. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members on complex repairs involving heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Assist in the assembly, welding, and maintenance of industrial equipment as required.

Experience

Previous experience as an automotive mechanic or in a similar role is essential. Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with heavy lifting and heavy equipment operation is advantageous. Proficiency in HVAC systems, electrical systems, mechanical knowledge, and automotive repair techniques is highly desirable. Experience with various types of machinery including Caterpillar products is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
