Job Overview


We are seeking a dependable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and goods to various destinations while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and efficient route management. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair are highly valued to support operational needs and vehicle upkeep.

Duties



Operate commercial trucks to transport freight across local, regional, or national routes. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip. Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting to ensure vehicle readiness. Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies during transportation activities. Coordinate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading schedules and freight handling. Operate heavy equipment as needed for loading or unloading cargo safely and efficiently.

Experience



Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with freight transportation. Skills in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling are desirable. Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for maintaining vehicle performance. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred. Experience with freight logistics, route planning, and safety compliance is advantageous. Ability to operate heavy machinery and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when required.
