Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and the ability to manage time effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring that our freight is delivered on time while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Duties

Operate heavy trucks and vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation laws and regulations. Perform routine maintenance on the vehicle as needed, including minor automotive repairs. Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary for loading and unloading freight.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Familiarity with freight handling procedures is essential, along with a demonstrated ability in heavy equipment operation. Previous experience in automotive repair is a plus, as it will aid in performing basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle. Forklift operation experience is also beneficial for this role.

Pay: $15.80-$33.85 per hour
